How do you take the sound out of a video clip?

I film off my ipod sometimes and that takes good sound quality but I'm making a video that I dont want to sound in. How can i take the sound out? I use AVS Video editor 4 and there is a tab that says audio and then remove sound but i dont know how to do it. Please help!!
