Is this a good start to a story or not? be honest?

It's all right. It's a bit hard to read and understand since there are no paragraphs, but that doesn't really matter until later. It isn't very descriptive, and not very captivating (but the first chapter is always like that), but it isn't bad. I think that maybe instead of telling everything that happened, you could describe the day a bit more and show it instead. Otherwise I think it's pretty good.
