Has our State found revenue by increasing the prop tax on those who still have a house to tax?

I just received notice from the state of an increase of almost $60,000 to my property tax, due they say to improvements. What improvements..i live on a frigging mountain with nothing but tree's and gr.....what did I do water the vegetation! Is this their answer out of our current situation. Put the onus on the one's that still have their houses because they need revenue. It's bloody shady is what it is!
